I was at Menai Newsagents today and Issue 1 of The Art of Crochet for $2.95 for a 4 mm crochet hook, redcurrent yarn to crochet your 1st square, biscuit yarn for practice, and an "Easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions" DVD caught my eye and was promptly purchased.
This is published by Hachette Partworks Ltd and I guess would be available in larger newsagents in Australia and New Zealand. 1st issue is at a special price, but further issues will be A$7.95.
